Helper Arts & Craft Fair Performance

This performance is for Introduction to Dance II, Tiny Elite, Mini Elite, Small Elite, Jr. Elite Ballet, Jr. Elite and Elite Companies.

We need to be at the Helper Library at 12:00 Sharp. The performance will last an hour and admission is free. Dancers will wear their White Encore Shirt or a plain white shirt and black biker shorts, tan tights & tan jazz shoes or pink ballet shoes or tap shoes. Hair up in a curly pony tail.

*REMEMBER*: All companies Tiny up to Smalls need to have the white Encore shirt. They are $10, dancers will not receive them till paid for in full

Dance Attack

March 12^th&13th

This is a dance camp for ages 5-18. All those planning on performing a solo, duo, and trio must attend.

This camp provides a fun and challenging environment for our dancers to learn and grow. The professional instructors are qualified dancers who have participated in things like So You Think You Can Dance, Rockettes, Broadway shows, Toured with famous artists and many more. I will provide more information in February. The cost will be around $175 for tuition and lunches.

***Watch for Costume Note! Costume payments will be due with Dec. & Jan tuition.

This month will be busy for all, we are focusing on coreograpy so please stay healthy and attend all classes!

Costumes are ordered and I can't wait for them to be here! I will not hand out costumes until they are paid for in full!!

November Calendar

We have been asked to performe at the Helper Craft Fair on November, 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the auditorium in Helper. They will be learning their dance over the next two weeks, so please practice with them at home. A practice CD is available upon request, and they will also be getting their costumes. I will not hand out costumes until they are completely paid for. This is an exciting and free performance, and a good opportunity for the girls to grow.
Introduction to dance II: We will be performing Tiki Tiki Room. Dianna Root is making their costume. They will have a hair piece, wrist and anklets, no tights and bare feet. Hair and make-up is your choice. They will need to have costumes covered up any time they are not on the stage.
Small Elite: They will be performing Hit the Road Jack (tap dance). They will need to wear Jean pants, any plain white top (t-shirt, tank top, camisole, leotard) black tap shoes with white socks, and I will be providing them with a red handkerchief that they will tie around their necks. Hair needs to be up in a curly ponytail with a black elastic, make-up is your choice. They will need to have costumes covered up any time they are not on the stage. You may purchase tap shoes at Symmetry Dancewear, store hours: Tues.-Thurs. 3:00-6:00, Sat.-11:00-4:00.

We will be performing Hero (lyrical). They will need to wear a black leotard of their choice, and black wrap ballet skirt, pink tights and ballet shoes. You can purchase all of these items at Symmetry Dancewear, store hours: Tues.-Thurs. 3:00-6:00, Sat.-11:00-4:00. Hair needs to be pulled up into a bun with performance make-up. Hair and make-up is your choice. They will need to have costumes covered up any time they are not on the stage.

Elite Co. We will be performing Maria. I will be ordering their costume this week. They need to wear tan tights, black jazz shoes, hair pulled up out of the face and performance make-up. Hair and make-up is your choice. They will need to have costumes covered up any time they are not on the stage. We will also be performing last year’s lyrical, Cried for all those who know that dance.

**I will be having my baby in October, I’m due the 2nd. Classes will continue during my leave, hopefully only a few weeks. Bobbie, Ladonna, Kirsa and Breann will be teaching classes. I will also be poking my head in from time to time checking on things. If you have any questions during that time I will be available, please call.

July has some exciting events!! We have been asked to perform on Friday and Saturday at International Days. This is a good opportunity to keep dancers involved and active. We will be having only one or two practices before hand and I will be calling to see who would like to participate.

We also have our Summer Dance Attack! This is an exciting opportunity for dancers age 8-up to obtain great knowledge from professionals all around the world. This convention is at the Yarrow Hotel in Park City. If you are interested go ahead and make reservations at this hotel or another one. I will be sending out registration forms in the next two weeks. The Cost will be $265 per dancer. This will include instruction and lunch daily. They will also be arranging a breakfast at the Yarrow Hotel that will be inexpensive and have good healthy foods. We will rehearse on stage at 9:00 in the morning and Curtain call is that afternoon at 3:00. We will perform at 3:30. Please be on time to stretch and so that everything will run smoothly and professionally. I have sent a note home with the details on costuming.
